Abstract

Since the late Twentieth Century Colombia as a defense complex has generated strategies, plans and programs based on a path to the peace that is showing up today, since this has consolidated the rule of law as the main promoter of respect and defense of human rights and the international humanitarian law, along with the improve in the welfare, moral and legal security of Armed Forces and National Police members. Consistent with the above, we find a new Colombia that prioritizes social issues, modernizes infrastructure, improves the quality of education, and ensures health and safety to bring the country towards a lasting and stable peace. These objectives seek to meet the visible challenges and opportunities in contribution areas to peace and post-conflict. Colombia is very close to finish the conflict and achieve the desired peace.
