Application of Quality Tools in a Laboratory Ballistic Tests

Abstract

This paper presents the development of a Ballistic Testing Laboratory technical advice carried out by the author in 2013, based on ISO 17025 “General requirements for the competence of testing and calibration laboratories” that will consider the stages of auditing and diagnosis of the compliance degree with the Reference Standard and subsequent indication of new quality statistic tools. The abo- ve mentioned, with the purpose of identifying the organization improvement areas from an external viewpoint and based on a standard for laboratories, which permits to obtain validated results regarding the management of other laboratories that work under ISO 17025 regulation and generate the corrective and improvement actions in order to deliver the maximum reliability with respect to the results of the measurements made.
