Methodology of historical analysis of battles: theory and practice

Abstract

This article proposes a battle analysis methodology which combine two relevant Social Scien- ce disciplines, on the one hand, the historical method and, on the other hand, Military Sciences. The approach is proposed with the aim of contributing not only to academic programmes of the Chilean Army War College, but also to interest of researchers working on these issues.
