Abstract
This paper stresses the importance of developing the intellectual, physical and moral capabilities of the soldier to face complex operational environments. Through the analysis of military doctrine and historical quotes, it emphasizes that morale is a crucial component of combat power. In addition, the need to foster initiative, manage uncertainty and adapt leadership to new challenges is highlighted. It is concluded that the continuous development of these capabilities is essential to ensure success in modern military operations, where complexity and change are constant.
