Defense and national security strategic resilience and autonomy

Abstract

This article analyzes the concepts of resilience and strategic autonomy, establishing links between them, proposing actions to be developed and noting the importance they acquire in the context of defense and national security to constitute strengths for the State to reinforce its power and face threats that manifest in the political and strategic environment more effectively. It should be noted that both resilience and strategic autonomy are ambitions declared by the United Kingdom, France and the European Union, among others, to strengthen defensive capacity and face security challenges in an international scenario where risks and threats are constantly evolving and becoming increasingly dangerous.
