Rearguard operations, a priority for the success of the campaign
Main Article Content
Abstract
Military war operations are actions carried out by military forces, usually in join operatios theaters (JOA), where the driver of said theater must plan and conduct them. These, according to their type, are classified as: offensive, defensive, combat support, of information, and specials. In this context, at the national level, a gap associated with the absence of those operations carried out in one of the most vulnerable areas of a JOA, such as the rear, becomes visible. In this sense, this document aims to describe their current state from the indicated perspective and, consequently, to value these operations as one more joint operation, in order to enhance the contribution that they conceptually, make to the operational maneuver, together with providing a disruptive proposal regarding organizational solutions normally applied to a JOA, where two operational level organizations could coexist in the same theater during the development of the campaign.
