History and its Public Function in Time of Crisis: Theory and Method to Combat Presenteeism

Abstract

Historiography is much more than navigating books, antecedents and characters, it must develop an evaluation of the moment and its context in history, and not only pose it from the prism of today. is work reflects on the theory of History, its method and the hermeneutical pillars that should govern the approach to the past. Likewise, it investigates the relationship of History with Memory and the Nation, proposing relationships in a historical context of crisis and transformation.
