(In) human security: global implications of climate change

Abstract

Dependence on fossil fuels, has generated growing risks and threats that directly impact rising temperatures, the stability of states, and people's well-being. This situation has put the international community on alert, holding meetings, forums and agreements in recent times to stop the advance of climate change through different mechanisms; however, the risk persists, since, in it, geopolitical, economic and sociological aspects associated with climate migration, the struggle for power between the great powers to obtain maximum energy control and also to maintain their areas of influence also converge. Considering the above, the purpose of this article is to identify and analyze the implications of climate change from the perspective of human security.
