Abstract

In the context of changes that have been manifesting though the evolution, the world system dynamics and the always present claims to power, this paper proposes an analysis that goes from the end of the Soviet Union, reflecting the profound ideological crisis of that time and the subsequent decline of a Russia that, with Vladimir Putin’s coming to power, has cleverly attempted to reposition itself through a new Russian way of applying international relations. Finally, one will observe China, which today is the main threat to the hegemony of the United States, that, using a hybrid system that mixes a single party based on the communist idea of the State with a capitalist economic model, has reached high levels of growth and that if maintained, could establish this nation as the world’s superpower for decades to come.
