Abstract

Anticipatory military operations continue to be a resource for the State political leader, in the field of legitimate self defence legislation under Article 51 of the United Nations Charter, to anticipate an imminent attack by an adversary that would jeopardize national peace and security. In this mode of operations, it is feasible to use the mechanisms of action specific to hybrid conflict, with the aim of increasing surprise and saving human, economic and technological resources, mainly. This implies the confluence of anticipatory actions of political, strategic and operational nature. Particularities that characterize the preparation and implementation of such operations militarily are also noted.
