Abstract

This article discusses the notions of risk and threat, they are contrasted and compared with alternate terms and discusses its conceptualization from various perspectives. Its definition is revised and then some distinctions or relevant subdivisions in recent decades are discussed. Later he delves into expanding the concept of security and therefore the range of sources of insecurity. The security by sectors or areas is then checked to finish with the empirical trends of occurrence in armed conflicts.
