Abstract

This study aims to determine the existence of a strategic culture concept that may be applicable to a wide range of different States, companies and/or organizations, generally called com- munities. To that end, through the study of different researchers, especially European and American, it has tried to find the origin of the concept, its historical, philosophical and pragmatic evolution. Along with this, the author defines what are the main components and elements that comprise or affect the concept and identifies them as belonging to a community. He has also sought access to a broad definition containing the main cultural factors which may characterize and differentiate one community to another, and determine the importance of considering them in the security and defense policy for the community it represents.
