Abstract
Within the framework of the organizational process of the Chilean State (1823-1830), the main objective of this essay is to determine the mechanisms through which the civilian elite sought to subordinate the military. To meet this objective, we will examine the regulation of the Armed Forces in the Constitution of 1828, but comparing it with that of 1823.
