Abstract

This article aims to analyze the real case of a design project and implementation of a multidimensional data model, derived from the data structure of an information system set level. In parallel, it seeks to expose how such a system can support decision makers with fast and accurate information, giving a joint force greater chance of survival in the modern battlefield and act more efficiently in operations to support the civilian population in case of disaster. It aims to show the Business Intelligence, as an alternative, that can contribute to solve the problems in making decisions at an operation set level, since now is possible to display the need for processed and consolidated information; although there are systems able to deliver information on operational data, these are not capable of generating knowledge derived from the data and, present it in a way that allows easy understanding and employment.
