Abstract

The threats on Latinoamerican countries have a multdimensional effect, this can be stated regarding these individually do not affect a single state, but act so that disrupt the actions of various go- vernments. Several countries in the region have dabbled in creating new policies and agencies to deal with this new threat, stating in their respective books of Defense the need to address these unique activities. Also regional organizations have sought to optimize resources and common means employed in attacking these problems. Drug trafficking, arms trafficking and organized crime are major security threats found in our continent. Since these aspects of continuing concern to all regional bodies.
