Abstract

The appearance of the Islamic State in the international sphere generated a big problem on how to define its territorial aspirations with a pseudo-state model: The Caliphate. Since its expansion and arrival to Libya they developed activities as a state, overall on Sirte, until its fall. The defeat of Sirte shows a vision of its pseudo-state nature.
