Military Vehicles Maintenance Based in Condition and Predictive

Abstract

This article deals with electronic systems installed in armored vehicles to determine re- motely and in real time the mechanical state of these and predict failures in the medium and long term. First of all, the article shows a system developed by the US Army for predicting failures in M-1 A1 / A2 Abrams tanks, both in structure and mechanism of processing and final results. Then a predictive maintenance system is described, based on the condition developed between 2013 and 2014 by officers and engineers from the Chilean Army Military Technical Academy, oriented both to the structure it has and to the information and usefulness it presents.
